National Mathematics Day 2022

The Department of Mathematics at IIT Hyderabad conducted a competitive exam for 8th, 9th, and 10th-standard students in and around the schools of Kandi and Sangareddy.
The winners in this examination were given prizes in the National mathematics Day celebrations at IIT Hyderabad on 22nd December 2022, on the occasion of the 135th birth anniversary of the great mathematician Sri Srinivasa Ramanujan.

Advanced Functional Analysis and its Applications 2022

Abstract: The sequence of numbers 1, -24, 252, -1472, 4830, ... was extensively studied by the great Indian mathematician Ramanujan almost a century ago. These numbers - the values of Ramanujan's tau function - has been the guiding force behind several themes in Number Theory. They continue to tantalize us with easy-to-understand problems, some of which are still open today.
This talk will be a relaxed introduction to these numbers and will lead up to some of our own results related to them.

Invitation for online Applied Mathematics Symposium - Instability and Flow Transition
